Dark Chocolate Açaí Berry Bowl

This Açaí Bowl is what breakfast (in my case, even dinner) dreams are made of. To make this bowl, Açaí powder is pureed with nut butter, bananas, dark chocolate, frozen berries and milk, and topped with crunchy granola, more fruits, nuts, chocolates, bee pollen or anything else that your heart desires. Açaí Berries aka “Beauty Berries” pack a nutrient punch and are an incredible source of antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids. Açaí promotes increased energy levels, a boosted immune system, improved metabolism and, better hair and skin. It also acts as a natural digestive purifier, cleansing the liver and kidneys by processing and eliminating toxins from the body making it the perfect food for cleansing and detoxing the body. Moreover, it will keep you full throughout the morning and trust me, you won’t crave a muffin or a pastry after this Healthy Super Food Indulgence!!

Acai Bowl

Ingredients
2 Tablespoons Açaí Powder
2-3 Tablespoons Frozen Berries
1 Banana
1 Teaspoon Nut Butter
1/4 Cup Coconut Milk or any other milk of choice
1 Teaspoon Dark Chocolate (85% cocoa) Chips
Toppings
Banana
Granola
Unsweetened Shredded Coconut
Honey
Hemp Seeds
Dark Chocolate
Fruits
Bee Pollen

Process

  1. Add the Açaí powder, nut butter, banana, frozen berries, dark chocolate chips and milk to a blender, and blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy (and thicker than a smoothie). Add more milk for a thinner consistency.
  2. Divide the Açaí mixture into two bowls and top with desired toppings. I topped mine with granola, unsweetened coconut, banana, dark chocolate chips, hemp seeds and honey!
