Banana Pops – Vegan & Gluten Free
These Banana Pops are so simple to make, they are a great way to involve kids in the kitchen and motivate them to eat healthy. Their taste and texture resembles that of ice cream, although the nutritious benefits that come along make these pops guilt free. You’ll happily replace your desserts with these pops and will never have to worry about portion control or calories. They are perfect as a pre workout snack, as they are rich in healthy fats, sugar, fiber and antioxidants. All you need is three primary ingredients and toppings of your choice.

Ingredients
2 Bananas Firm and Ripe
3-4 Ounces Dark Chocolate
1 Teaspoon Coconut Oil or Butter
6 Wooden/Cake Pop Sticks
Toppings: Shredded Coconut, Nuts, Sunflower Seeds, Sprinkles, Cacao Nibs etc.
Process
- Line a baking sheet or tray with parchment paper and set aside.
- Peel the bananas and cut each banana equally into 3 pieces.
- Insert a stick into each piece.
- Melt the chocolate and coconut oil/butter on a double boiler.
- Coat each piece with dark chocolate, making sure that banana is completely covered in chocolate.
- Sprinkle the desired toppings and freeze the pops for 4-5 hours or overnight.
